Steroids are just testosterone that has been modified in some way so that it has a greater half life in the blood stream. Each steroid is slightly different and therefore has different results and different side effects. We look at some of them here.
Steroids increase muscle and strength rapidly
The are quicker acting than HGH
Medication to treat side effects are usually needed
PCT or a post cycle therapy is usually required
There are many different steroids are on the market today. Some of them used used for cutting ie getting that ripped look. Some are used for bulking. Others are used for pure strength. Some are OK for both men and women to take whereas other are very masculinising and are not suitable for women. They come both as pills and as injections.
Oral steroids are types of modified testosterone. You cannot take oral testosterone as it is cleared from the blood stream after the first pass through the liver. So it is altered to survive the pass through the liver and so remain in the blood stream. All oral steroids put some form of stress on the liver. Some to a greater extent than others.
Dianabol is one of the more common oral steroids and is quite often the first pill a user will try. It is very effective causing an increase in strength after only a few days and some quite substantial muscle after the full course (cycle).
Dianabol can convert to estrogen so men should take some sort of anti-estrogen medicine such as arimidex or proviron. PCT is also recommended with dianabol as it will cause your natural testosterone to shut down whilst using it. Clomid or Nolvadex are both good to use. Nolvadex is probably better. You should limit a cycle to 6 weeks and 25-50mg per day is the usual dose.
Anadrol is known by a few different names, Naps, Anapalon, Oxymtheolone, Oxy’s, Androlic etc. Its is one of the most powerful (if not the most powerful) anabolic steroids there is. This also includes injectable steroids. You should take only 1x50mg tablet per day and definitely no more than 100mg per day for 1 month maximum. A virtual explosion of strength but very harsh on the liver.
Do not drink alcohol whilst using anadrol. Arimidex or some kind of anti-estrogen are definitely needed as well as PCT. Not recommended for women as it can be very androgenic producing masculine traits.
A very popular oral steroid. Will not cause the power or mass of dianabol or anadrol. So why is it popular? Well it doesn’t convert to estrogen so no anti-estrogen ancillaries are needed whilst using it. It has become the best selling oral steroids for this very reason. Until a new one comes along we think it will stay this way. Produces lean quality muscle and no water retention. Women can also use anavar.
Dosage is 10mg per day upwards for women and anywhere from 20-100mg per day for men. Anavar is quite mild steroid so you need to take a decent amount to get some results. 6-8 weeks is a usual course. Will still affect the liver but not to the extent of anadrol etc.
Winstrol comes both as injection and tablets. The injections are probably better as they are more effective and put less stress on the liver but the tablets are very good too. They are often called Stanzol tablets which is derived from the name stanozolol. These are very similar to anavar in that they are used for cutting and putting on lean muscle and strength.
Winstrol is the steroid that Ben Johnson was caught using and you can see how ripped he looked. Women can also take winstrol tablets. They don’t convert to estrogen so no water bloat or feminisation to worry about. Dosage is 10mg per day upwards for 6-8 weeks
Andriol comes in a class all of its own as it is absorbed in a very unique way. Its taken by mouth but its absorbed into the body through the lymphatic system which means it has no impact on the liver at all. But there is a price to pay for this. Because only about 7% of the actual product (andriol undecanoate) gets into the blood stream. So its not a very efficient steroid but its one you could use if you are very concerned about you liver.
Andriol must be taken with food and swallowed whole. They must not be chewed. The always come as an oil filled gel capsules. You can really take as much as you want as only a small proportion gets into the blood stream anyway.
There are a wider range of injectable steroids on the market than oral steroids. Nearly all of them are oil based (or a suspension in the case of Winstrol) There are some that are strong and very androgenic with quite a few side effects. There are injectable steroids with less side effects but not the muscle putting on power as the former. As always its a compromise. Lets look at some of them below
One of the most powerful and also affordable injectable steroids. There are a variety of makers out there today all producing decent Test E. Its often stacked with something else a bit milder as it can cause quite a lot of side effects and water bloating. Testosterone Enanthate though is without doubt one of the best muscle and strength builders there is along side anadrol.
Ancillaries to treat side effects are essential. Stock up on Nolvadex and Arimidex or similar.
Deca Durabolin is one of the most popular injectable anabolic steroids. Its popular because it gives decent results with minimal side effects. The gains are not as great as Test E but then again the side effects aren’t as bad. There are other injectable steroids which will do the same job as Deca Durabolin such as Primobolan but not as cheaply.100mg to 500mg per week are usual. Its usually stacked with other steroids to gain the desired result.
You don’t strictly need ancillaries during the course but it doesn’t hurt to have them on had. You will need some PCT after the course.
Sustanon is actually a mix of four different types of testosterone designed to give a prolonged exposure to the steroid. Its quite androgenic and has more side effects than Deca Durabolin but not as much as Test E. Its actually quite cheap having been around for many years and gives really good results.
Usual dosages are 500mg per week upwards unless you are stacking it with something then you would adjust the dosage accordingly. Its not worth taking less than 100mg per week with sustanon as you will just end up replacing the natural testosterone in your body with the steroid and so get no over all benefit.
We have already spoken about winstrol tablets but the injections are probably better known and are more effective in any case. Unusually unlike most injectable steroids winstrol is not oil based. Its actually an aqueous suspension a bit like an emulsion. If you leave it to stand the winstrol will sink to the bottom of the vial so must be shaken before use.
Winstrol will not convert to estrogen so there is no worries for men growing breast tissue etc. Its also OK for women to use as it will not cause the masculinising effects that some other steroids will.
So we have just briefly described what steroids are and listed a few common steroids with a few words about each. There is plenty more information on each particular steroid out there on the web if you wish to research further what mat be the steroid for you.
